Wolfsburg confirm season-ending injury for Waldschmidt

Wolfsburg forward Luca Waldschmidt has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

Luca Waldschmidt has played his last game for Wolfsburg this season.

The forward has missed Wolfsburg's last two matches due to an ankle injury that will keep him out for the rest of the 2021/22 campaign.

"Luca Waldschmidt's foot still needs to be rested. He won't be able to play for us more this season," confirmed Wolfsburg coach Florian Kohfeldt at a press conference today.

Waldschmidt has scored one goal and provided two assists in 14 Bundesliga matches for Wolfsburg following his move from Benfica last summer.
