Mintzlaff insists Nkunku will stay at Leipzig
Christopher Nkunku will still be playing for RB Leipzig next season, according to club CEO Oliver Mintzlaff.
RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff has played down speculation linking Christopher Nkunku with a move away from the club.
Nkunku is said to have caught the eye of Bayern München and Manchester United among others, but Mintzlaff insists that the Frenchman, who is under contract until 2024, will not be going anywhere in the summer.
"I've said it many times, and I'm happy to say it again: Nkunku will still be our player in the coming season," Mintzlaff told ARD.
Speaking to Sky Germany, the RB Leipzig chief reiterated his statement, but also noted that "in football, nobody is basically unsaleable."
"He was already one of our best players in the first half of the season, even though it didn't go well for us, as we all know. He has ignited the next stage of his development here under Domenico Tedesco, and he will continue to do so in the coming season," he added.
