With just one year left on his contract with FC Köln, Anthony Modeste has been linked with a move away from the club for some time now.

Despite losing 0-1 against Wolfsburg yesterday, it's now clear that FC Köln will play in either the UEFA Conference League or Europa League next season.

According to Bild, Modeste is now seriously considering staying to fulfill his dream of playing in Europe with the club.

"Who says I'll leave the club? No one has said that," Modeste told reporters after Saturday's game.

"I have a contract until 2023, and I enjoy my time with my teammates," added the 34-year-old forward, who has found the net 19 times in 31 Bundesliga games this season.
