VfB Stuttgart can look forward to another season in the Bundesliga after beating FC Köln 2-1 thanks to Wataru Endo's injury-time winner.

The win saw Stuttgart climb past Hertha BSC to 15th place on goal difference, with the Berliners slipping to the relegation play-off spot after losing 2-1 against Borussia Dortmund in Manchester City-bound Erling Haaland's last game for 'Die Schwarzgelben'.

Despite surprisingly drawing 1-1 against RB Leipzig, Arminia Bielefeld finished 17th and will follow Greuther Fürth down to the 2. Bundesliga.

It didn't look too promising for Stuttgart when FC Köln made it 1-1 with an hour played at Mercedes-Benz Arena, while Hertha were 1-0 up in Dortmund at the same time.

But Dortmund went on to turn the game around at Signal Iduna Park, taking the lead through goals from Erling Haaland and Youssoufa Moukoko.

Therefore, Stuttgart only needed a goal to secure safety, and they ultimately got what they wanted, with captain Wataru Endo making it 2-1 in injury time to send Mercedes-Benz Arena into wild celebration.
