Stefan Ortega will leave Arminia Bielefeld following the club's relegation to the 2. Bundesliga.

"I have ambitious goals and only one career," said the goalkeeper, who excelled in Saturday's 1-1 draw with RB Leipzig after bidding a tearful farewell to the fans before kick-off.

The 29-year-old has been linked with a number of Bundesliga clubs, but it's still unclear where he will be playing in the new season.

"I will now take my time to see what exactly is concrete," he said.

In addition to Ortega, Arminia Bielefeld said goodbye to Cédric Brunner, Gonzalo Castro, Fabian Kunze, Joakim Nilsson, Amos Pieper, Alessandro Schöpf and Patrick Wimmer today.
