Bild is now reporting that the former Borussia Dortmund and Gladbach coach is not just a candidate for the job, but also the clear favorite.
Gladbach are said to be looking for a coach with a more possession-based approach to football.
Daniel Farke, who left Russian club FK Krasnodar in March, is seen as a possible alternative to Favre.
