Bochum coach and sporting director linked with Wolfsburg

VfL Wolfsburg are said to be interested in Bochum head coach Thomas Reis and sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz.
VfL Bochum head coach Thomas Reis and sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz are being linked with VfL Wolfsburg.

Bild reports that Reis is seen as a possible replacement for Florian Kohfeldt, who was recently dismissed as head coach.

"That I have a close relationship with VfL Wolfsburg is well known. After all, I was a youth coach there for many years. Should there be an inquiry, I would listen to everything. That's part of the business. Bochum would be involved in all the processes," Reis told Bild.

However, he's just one of several names in the running, with Matthias Jaissle (RB Salzburg), Daniel Farke (unemployed), Sandro Schwarz (Dinamo Moscow), Bruno Labbadia (unemployed) and Adi Hütter (most recently Gladbach) also in contention.

In addition to Reis, Wolfsburg are interested in Bochum's sporting director, Sebastian Schindzielorz, per Bild.

Schindzielorz is being touted as a possible replacement for Jörg Schmadtke, whose contract as Wolfsburg managing director for sport expires in January 2023.
