Köln introduce Kilian as permanent player: "At FC, I have everything I need."
FC Köln officially introduced Luca Kilian as a permanent signing late Tuesday.
One of the Bundesliga's long reported on purchase agreements is finally through. FC Köln head-coach Steffen Baumgart has one of his favored SC Paderborn alumni as a permanent player. German footballing magazine Kicker confirms a Sky report surfacing earlier in the day concerning Luca Kilian's permanent transfer from Mainz to the cathedral city.
The 22-year-old moves to the Effzeh for a price tag of approx. €2 million.
"I'm very pleased that this has worked out and I may continue on here," Kilian noted in a club-released statement, "At FC, I have everything I need. A super coach, a super team, super fans, and a wonderful city in which I feel comfortable."
Der #effzeh nimmt Luca Kilian fest unter Vertrag. Der Innenverteidiger grätscht bis 2025 für uns. 💪
