Sport Bild Report: Füllkrug mulls pay cut while Bremen consider four transfer offers

Germany's main sporting tabloid reports the SV Werder Bremen striker Niclas Füllkrug has arrived at the club's training camp in order to find a prompt solution to the matter of the veteran's expiring contract.

Niclas Füllkrug's stated desire to remain with the promoted side at which he just completed his best personal career season reportedly includes willingness to take a pay cut if he is given some consideration for a leadership role within the SV Werder Bremen squad. According to Germany's Sport Bild, however, the 29-year-old still wants his future sorted out prior to the first matchday of the coming Bundesliga campaign.

Germany's main sporting tabloid reports that Füllkrug's agent Gunther Neuhaus visiting Werder's training camp over the weekend in order to discuss a contract extension in depth with club officials. The tabloid goes on to report that there exist concrete transfer offers for the man who just completed a 27-scorer-point-campaign. No specific clubs are named, but it said that a Bundesliga, a Serie A, a La Liga, and Serbian Super League side are said to be interested.

Werder Bremen kick off the season against VfL Wolfsburg on August 6th. Sport Bild claims all parties desire a solution prior to then. Specifics on Füllkrug's negotiated pay cut are also published. The Hannover native is reportedly prepared to accept a reduction of €2.5 million per year to €1.7 million with built-in performance bonuses.
