The sought-after German youth commodity--whom can operate as a fullback on both sides and in central midfield--follows up the signing of Colombian attacker Juan Jose Perea earlier this week to become the second major signing for the VfB. The Hamburg native signs a four year contract to play in Swabia.
"Josha can be used on the flanks both defensively and with a more offensive orientation," VfB sporting director Sven Mislintat noted in a statement accompanying the signing, "His profile makes him one of the most interesting players in Germany in this age group. We are convinced that he can take on an important role in our team in the near-term and also realize his developmental potential."
"I am very pleased that this transfer worked out," the player himself added "After the initial discussions, it was quickly clear to me that I wanted to transfer here. VfB offers young players very good conditions to develop. I hope to quickly find my feet in my new team and do my part to ensure that we play a successful season."
