Sasa Kalajdzic has spoken out on his situation at VfB Stuttgart amid reports that Manchester United are interested in him.

"My agent knows what the exact status is. I'm here, I'm training hard, and I'm going to push everyone, including myself, to win every game, to get the best out of it all. My focus is on VfB. I'm not letting my thoughts wander," Kalajdzic told Kicker.

The striker went on to emphasize that what will happen with him and his contract, which expires in 2023, is completely up in the air.

"You can't wish for anything because, for example, an injury can make everything collapse. We'll see what happens."

Nothing is impossible, Kalajdzic added – not even extending his contract beyond 2023 if he can't find the right fit this summer. In that case, it's fair to assume that his new deal would contain an option for him to leave next summer.

"There is no promise or deal in that sense," Kalajdzic insisted, but also admitted that such a contract extension is "definitely an option."
