Reports: Torunarigha's sale to Gent finalized

Both Sky and Germany's main sporting tabloid report that Hertha defender Jordan Torunarigha's permanent move to K.A.A. Gent has been worked out

A fairly notable departure from Germany's capital city club is about to take place. Sport Bild and Sky Germany presently report that 24-year-old former German youth international Jordan Torunarigha will be sold to the club at which he spent the second half of last season on loan. The sale had been worked on for some time and, according to the reports, should net Hertha €4.5 million in transfer fees.

The Chemnitz native came up through the Hertha youth represented his country at all youth levels, most recently donning the German national team tricot at the delayed 2021 summer olympics. His recent loan spell saw him make 15 appearances across all competitions for the Belgian side. Torunarigha departs German football having scored six goals and five assists in 78 total appearances for Hertha since 2016.
