Confirmed: Union loan Keita Endo out to Braunschweig
FC Union Berlin confirmed Keita Endo's move to Eintracht Braunschweig would be a one-year-loan on Tuesday evening.
After confirming Norwegian midfielder Morten Thorsby's capture earlier in the day, 1. FC Union Berlin also made their other pending transaction official Tuesday evening. Japanese winger Keita Endo will spend the season playing in the second division for Eintracht Braunschweig.
In a statement accompanying the announcement, FCU sporting director Oliver Ruhnert made clear that the Köpenick side were not giving up on the player. The 24-year-old, for whom die Eisernen shelled out a reported €900,000 in early 2021, will be due back in the capital city after the season.
"Keita has already proven that he has what it takes to be a Bundesliga player," Ruhnert noted in a statement, "With the loan, he has the chance to get more playing time at a good level and to develop even further."
