Stuttgart confirm Kalajdzic has been released from squad
VfB Stuttgart have officially announced that Sasa Kalajdzic will not partake in tomorrow's match against 1. FC Köln.
By all accounts, this should mean that the center-forward's transfer to Wolves is imminent.
When speaking to reporters yesterday, VfB Stuttgart trainer Pellegrino Matarazzo emphasized that he did not want either striker Sasa Kalajdzic or fullback/winger Borna Sosa in his matchday squad if one of them found themselves in the final stages of transfer negotiations. It looks to be the case that Kalajdzic is in such a situation after the club confirmed that he would not partake in this Sunday's match against Köln.
By all accounts, this should mean that the center-forward's transfer to Wolves is imminent.
Stuttgart released a brief statement on their social media profile noting that Kalajdzic had asked to be left out during a personal discussion with the head-coach. Presumably, this means that the rumored transfer sending the Austrian attacker to Wolves is almost through. At present, there is no concrete news about a potential medical scheduled at Molineaux.
