VfB Stuttgart have confirmed that Denmark U21 international Wahid Faghir has headed back to his home country.

The 19-year-old forward has joined Danish Superliga side FC Nordsjælland on loan with an option to buy.

"Playing time is very important for Wahid's further development. FC Nordsjælland offers him this opportunity and is an ambitious club in a challenging league," said Stuttgart sporting director Sven Mislintat.

"We will follow Wahid's path closely in the coming months and wish him and FC Nordsjælland a successful season."

Stuttgart paid €3.5 million to sign Faghir from Danis side Vejle Boldklub in the summer of 2021.
