Gvardiol has been linked with Chelsea recently, with reports claiming that 'The Blues' were ready to offer €90 million to sign him in 2023.
Leipzig, however, were quick to dismiss the speculation and have now managed to tie the Croatian centre-back down to a new contract until 2027.
"I really enjoy being here and I wanted to stay here. We have a lot of work to do and a lot to achieve here. We have a good team and we're ready," said Gvardiol at a press conference today.
