Bayern donned their Oktoberfest kits to absolute destroy Leverkusen on Matchday 8 and ease some pressure after a slow start in league play. This could've been Gerardo Seoane's final game in charge of Die Werkself, as Leverkusen looked lifeless in their 4-0 loss on Friday night.

The Bavarian club got off to the perfect start when Leroy Sane scored a deflected 3rd minute shot after Jamal Musiala's run to give the home crowd a big boost of energy. For much of the first period, Bayern dominated possession and made their home in Leverkusen's half of the pitch.

Musiala extended the record champions lead with another goal in the 17th minute and it should be said that Lukas Hradecky could have done better to save the near-post shot. Sadio Mane then finally got a much-needed goal with his 39th minute effort that found the side netting.

Hradecky saved Mane and Matthijs de Ligt's hits to open the second half, as Bayern showed no signs of slowing down. Mane had yet another goal overturned by VAR after it was found that de Ligt had previously fouled Odilon Kossounou.

Amine Adli had a great chance on goal in his long-awaited return from injury, as Seoane made several substitutions to try and give Leverkusen a spark. But, it wasn't meant to be. Thomas Müller scored the 4th after a horrendous Hradecky pass in the 84th minute to close out the contest.

The weight has been lifted off the shoulders of Julian Nagelsmann and Sadio Mane, who's back on the scoresheet after some time away. It will be interesting to see how Leverkusen move forward after yet another loss and shockingly only one win recorded on the season.

The company club face Porto and Schalke next week, while Bayern play Viktoria Plzen before Der Klassiker next weekend.
