Fischer back on the sidelines against Malmö
FC Union Berlin trainer Urs Fischer has tested negative in time to coach his team from the sidelines in tonight's Europa League clash.
Just three days after returning a positive COVID test, Union Berlin head-coach Urs Fischer has returned two consecutive negatives and has travelled with the team to Malmö in Sweden. The 56-year-old checked in, along with the rest of the FCU traveling contingent, at their hotel earlier this morning.
The Köpenickers will be seeking to turn their 2022/23 Europa League campaign around this evening after opening up group stage play with two losses. There exists some hope for the German Europa League representatives as their Swedish opponents have also lost both their opening games.
Union occupy third-place in the group, ahead of Malmö on goal differential.
