RB Leipzig vs. Hertha BSC preview: Hertha look to end their streak of draws

Hertha are still in search for their second league win, as good friends Marco Rose and Sandro Schwarz face off on Matchday 10.

RB Leipzig

Leipzig got a huge result in the Champions League this week with a big second half performance to defeat Celtic. But, the Red Bull club sit 11th in the league and have been throwing away points left and right all season long.

Janis Blaswich will start in goal for the injured Peter Gulacsi, as the defense is still struggling to find the right balance under new coach Marco Rose. This will also be Andre Silva's 100th Bundesliga appearance, but he is still looking for his first league goal of the season.

All eyes will be on Christopher Nkunku and Timo Werner, who shined in their win on Tuesday. Yet, the club are also still trying to figure out the best formation with both of these stars in the starting eleven.

Rose stated that, "Sandro Schwarz has stabilized Hertha. He has a clear plan and ideas and brings a lot of passion. It's only a matter of time until Hertha begin rewarding themselves regularly, but obviously we want to prevent that on Saturday."

Marcel Halstenberg is questionable, while Gulacsi, Dani Olmo, Konrad Laimer and Lukas Klostermann remain unavailable.

Hertha BSC

Hertha feel far more predictable under new coach Sandro Schwarz and have only lost three out of nine games. But, that also means they've drawn five and only claimed three points from one.

Dodi Lukebakio has been the most efficient player on the offensive end by far. He has four goals on the campaign, while Suat Serdar has added three. The capital club can rid this curious case of the draws with more shots on goal from Stevan Jovetic and the creative Chidera Ejuke up front.

Oliver Christensen, who's one of the more aggressive goalkeepers in the league, will have his hands full (literally) in trying to slow down this Leipzig attack.

Lukebakio commented that, "I feel a lot of trust from my teammates and the coaches. I know exactly what I'm meant to do out on the pitch. Right now, things are going well. I hope it stays like that. We are on a good path and now need to finally reward ourselves for all our hard work with a win!"

Wilfried Kanga, Davie Selke and Linus Gechter are questionable for the contest. Jean-Paul Boëtius, Kélian Nsona, Jessic Ngankam and Filip Uremovic are out.
