Frankfurt lose Lenz to injury yet again

Eintracht Frankfurt trainer may have some tactical rethinking to do after it was revealed that starting led-wingback Christopher Lenz had aggravated his fascia injury in his left-thigh and will be out indefinitely.
After five consecutive starts in a highly successful tactical constellation that has helped Eintracht Frankfurt rattle off four wins on-the-trot, Germany's RheinMain Eagles will once again have to do without left-back Christopher Lenz. The oft-injured Bundesliga veteran has re-aggravated a fascia tear in his left thigh; an injury that kept him sidelined through much of the beginning of the season.

The SGE confirmed the injury on Thursday morning, saying only that Lenz will be out "indefinitely". The nature of the injury nevertheless likely spells the end of the calendar year for the 28-year-old. Glasner could stick with the same tactics, as he did last night by inserting Luca Pellegrini into the set-up. A reversion to a back-four also remains a possibility for the Eintracht trainer.
