Windhorst confirms agreement to sell Hertha shares
Lars Windhorst has confirmed that he has agreed to sell his 64.7 percent stake in Hertha BSC to U.S. investment firm 777 Partners.

"777 Partners, a strategic investor in soccer clubs worldwide, and Tennor Holding have agreed that 777 Partners will acquire Tennor's 64.7 percent stake in Hertha BSC GmbH & Co KGaA," read a statement from Tennor.
"We are giving our Hertha shares to an internationally known football investor with a long experience. Hertha BSC can benefit greatly from this new shareholder," said Lars Windhorst.
"It brings not only financial strength, but also a lot of professional experience and an impressive network of international football clubs. The entry of 777 Partners is a step towards a successful future for Hertha BSC."
"The transaction will be fully consummated following approval by Hertha BSC, which has a contractual right of first refusal on the shares," Tennor further wrote.
Hertha put out a statement on the matter on Wednesday, stating:
"We are pleased with this news. Everything else will now be handled according to our agreement."
777 Partners already owns shares in Genoa, Sevilla and Standard Liege, among others.
