Report: Labbadia to be confirmed as new Stuttgart coach today

Germany's "t-online" news portal reports that Bruno Labbadia will be introduced as VfB Stuttgart's new head-coach today.
Rumors linking veteran Bundesliga trainer Bruno Labbadia with VfB Stuttgart's vacant head-coaching position are apparently about to become a reality. Germany's "t-online" news portal reports that the 56-year-old is set to be confirmed as the new head-coach of the Württemberg side today.

Labbadia has already led five top tier German footballing clubs from the sidelines. This includes a previous stint with Stuttgart between 2010 and 2013. The former Stuttgart, Leverkusen, Hamburger SV, and VfL Wolfsburg gaffer hasn't been active since being dismissed by Hertha BSC in January of 2021.

Labbadia coached the Swabians in 119 competitive fixtures during his previous three-year-stint, winning 42 percent of his matches and averaging 1.46 points per game. Having already confirmed the departure of sporting director Sven Mislintat yesterday, the VfB administrative team is evidently eager to get personnel decisions set ahead of the return to training on December 12th.
