Could Sommer replace Neuer at Bayern?

Sky Germany reports that Yann Sommer is the "top candidate" to replace Manuel Neuer if Bayern don't manage to bring Alex Nübel back from his loan spell at Monaco.

Bayern are currently exploring the possibility of bringing Alexander Nübel back from his loan spell at AS Monaco.
But should it prove impossible to cut Nübel's loan short, Sommer would be the "top candidate" to step in for Neuer, according to Sky Germany.
Dominik Livakovic, Keylor Navas and Yassine Bounou, on the other hand, are not under consideration, per the report.
Sommer, whose contract expires in the summer, has also been linked with a move to Manchester United.
