Nübel speaks on recall matter: "It makes little sense for me to come back."
Germany's preeminent footballing publication reports that AS Monaco have repeatedly rebuffed attempts by FC Bayern München to recall on-loan keeper Alexander Nübel.
Nübel himself, meanwhile, has confided to Germany's main sporting tabloid that he isn't too keen on returning to Bavaria.
A report appearing in the Thursday print edition of Germany's Kicker magazine notes that AS Monaco have blocked the (admittedly somewhat timid) advances of FC Bayern München to recall keeper Alexander Nübel early from his loan. The 26-year-old stood in goal for his Ligue 1 side on Wednesday was they resumed their league campaign. Nübel remains the #1 at Monaco and the club have no clear replacement for him.

In an interview appearing in the "Sport Bild" print edition released today, the FCB loanee didn't rule out a premature return to his parent club. Nübel nevertheless struck about as unenthusiastic tone about the potential move as possible.
"It makes little sense for me to come back," Nübel told Bild after Wednesday's win "I'm happy to be here and I still have many games ahead of me with Monaco. I've again felt the importance of each match. I don't want to miss that anymore."
"Ultimately, AS Monaco makes the call," Nübel continued, "I am under contract here. They would first have to give the signal that they want to do it. I think that will be very difficult."
With it being widely reported that Bayern do not consider elevating Sven Ulreich to the #1 position to be an option, the German record champions remain in the market for a new keeper following Manuel Neuer's season-ending injury. Focus now shifts to the highly publicized mater of Swiss net-minder Yann Sommer's future with Borussia Mönchengladbach.
