Hertha confirm Niederlechner capture

Hertha officially confirmed the signing of veteran Bundesliga striker Florian Niederlechner early Tuesday evening. The 32-year-old will join Berlin's Charlottenburg side next season. 
A Bundesliga deal already confirmed play the player's agent is through. Florian Niederlechner will begin his eight season of German top flight football in the blue and white stripes of Hertha BSC. The former Mainz and Freiburg striker shall join "die alte Dame" on a free transfer after his current contract with Augsburg expires at the end of the season.

"We are delighted to have been able to obtain Florian Niederlechner for Hertha BSC," club sporting CEO Fredi Bobic noted in a statement on the club's website, "With him, we get an experienced offensive player who brings goal goals, mentality and physicality. He has proven all of this regularly in the Bundesliga in recent years."

Niederlechner's new working papers in the German capital will run through the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
