Report: Hauge's loan arrangement with Gent set to be rescinded
KAA Gent trainer Hein Vanhaezebrouck appeared to let it slip at a press conference that the loan deal for Eintracht Frankfurt's Jens Petter Hauge is about to be cancelled.
Jens Petter Hauge's time with Gent is apparently about to come to an end. The Eintracht Frankfurt loanee's very public struggles outside of head-coach's Hein Vanhaezebrouck's squad have evidently left the club prepared to give up on the Norwegian attacker. At a recent presser, Vanhaezebrouck indicated that he no longer expected the 23-year-old in training.
"A solution will be found for him," Vanhaezebrouck (quoted via "Het Laatste Nieuws")
Just what this solution might be remains unclear. Eintracht purchased the rights to Hauge for a hefty €10 million this past summer. As SGE sporting director Markus Krösche nevertheless made clear, however, the club has further developmental hopes for their expensive investment. Eintracht may very well find a new loan locale to park their prospect.
Hauge contributed five assists in 18 total appearances for Gent, yet dropped out of Vanhaezebrouck's squad plans this past October. He was not nominated for the bench squad by Vanhaezebrouck in the last two matchdays. Hauge scored a total of three goals and chipped in two assists in 38 appearances for Frankfurt across all competitions last year.
