Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann praised his team's efficiency and fighting spirit following Sunday's 4-2 victory over VfL Wolfsburg, which saw the Bavarians end a three-game winless streak in the Bundesliga.

Nagelsmann's troops made the most of their chances in the first half and were 3-0 up after just 19 minutes, but had to dig deep to withstand a Wolfsburg comeback after Joshua Kimmich received his second yellow card in the 54th minute.

"It's the win that matters most, it was very important. With three points in the bag, we can look forward. We were really efficient in the first half," Nagelsmann told reporters after the game.

"At 3-0 we got a bit sloppy, but we showed another side of our game after the sending off. Of course, our style of play was different after that. It was important to dig in and fight, and we managed to do that.

"We're back on track but we're never satisfied. We always want something to strive for. Given the nature of the game, it was a very important win."
