It's safe to say it's been a week to remember for Werder Bremen midfielder Jens Stage.

Jens Stage scored his first Bundesliga goal for Werder Bremen in today's 2-0 victory over Stuttgart, capping off a "special week" he will never forget.

"It's been a very special week for me. Earlier this week, my wife gave birth to our son and then today I scored," Stage said in a post-match interview after today's win.

"I'm very happy. Everyone left it all out on the pitch today. The first 20 minutes were tough and we began to dominate from that point onwards. We saw today what our team is capable of achieving when we're all giving it 100%."

Marvin Ducksch, who put the game to bed with the second goal in the 78th minute, felt Werder scored "at the right moments".

"The win feels great. We knew that the details would make the differences, as would winning tackles. We had some issues on the counter, and they did well there. We had a strong momentum going after 15 minutes and they had few chances from then on. We managed to score our goals at the right moments," explained Ducksch.
