Weber promises full analysis after Hertha defeat: "We will leave no stone unturned."
Hertha club boss Benjamin Weber referred to the Friday night loss that sent his club to the bottom of the Bundesliga table as "a real punch in the mouth". Head-coach Sandro Schwarz also conceded that changes might be afoot.
Hertha's Saturday regeneration training was cancelled. There would also be no public media rounds on the day after the defeat.
There would be no public regeneration training on Saturday morning after Friday night's humiliating 2-5 loss away at Schalke. Such a result called for an intense team meeting in the locker room. The club released a statement noting that a closed team meeting with Schwarz and his players was deemed far more important.

Schwarz, captain Marvin Plattenhardt, and relatively newly installed club personnel boss Benjamin Weber all acknowledged that the most recent performance was completely unacceptable in their post-match comments last night. Schwarz and Plattenhardt commented on the "unbelievably inadequate" defensive performance.
"As a head-coach, you have to be realistic," Schwarz told German broadcaster DAZN in his post-match-interview, "We're now in last-place. I fully understand the attitude of my superiors. That's legitimate and the club has a responsibility to think about things."
Weber - placed in charge of as the club's chief personnel executive after Fredi Bobic's sensational sacking in late January - promised "a full analysis of the situation." Everything, including whether to carry on with Schwarz, would be up for discussion.
"We will head home and consider everything," Weber said, "No stone will be left unturned. The result was not good at all. A real punch in the face."
At present, there are no German media sources reporting a potential coaching change at Hertha. The club's financial situation likely precludes even an emergency hiring at this point. Moreover, it remains unclear if Weber and the somewhat green administrative team can find someone interested in the job on short notice.
Club icon Pal Dardai continues to attend Hertha's matches in support of his son Marton. Dardai - released by the Bobic regime in the autumn of 2021 - is the last head-coach at Hertha to have completed a full season.
