Kicker Report: Bayern deny Rangers a chance to purchase Tillman

Mario Krischel of Germany's preeminent footballing publication reports that FC Bayern München have opted not to allow Glasgow Rangers to exercise their purchase option on German-American striker Malik Tillman.
Kicker Magazine's Mario Krischel reports that German giants FC Bayern München have rejected an attempt by Rangers to exercise their purchase option on 21-year-old attacker Malik Tillman. It has long been common knowledge that the Glaswegian side possessed a purchase clause on the loaned-out forward, reportedly totaling some €6-7 million.

After a successful stint in the Scottish Premiership, Tillman returned to the Säbener Straße to complete rehab training for an injury he sustained late in the season with his parent club. It remains unknown as to whether the Nürnberg-native will play a role for Bayern in the coming season. A new loan out to Glasgow or even a potential sale could still be organized.

Tillman netted 12 goals and contributed a further five assists in 43 appearances for Rangers this season. His prolific nature earned him Scotland's young-player-of-the-year honors. The youngsters current estimated market worth in the latest transfermarkt listings stands at €4.5 million, but Bayern obviously feel he is worth significantly more.
