Report: Galatasaray hope to take Angelino on loan

The Turkish affiliate of broadcaster beIN Sports reports that Galatasaray are engaged in negotiations with RB Leipzig over a potential loan deal for Spanish wingback Angelino.
Whereas attempts by Galatasaray Istanbul to acquire Borussia Dortmund and German national team midfielder Emré Can look to have been unsuccessful, it might still be the case that the Turkish champions might reel in a high-value player from the German top flight. Istanbul's largest club has, according to beIN Sports, contacted RB Leipzig about a loan for Spanish wingback Angelino.

Angelino was loaned out to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim last summer after Leipzig purchased David Raum from the Kraichgauer. The 26-year-old Galician didn't necessarily have an unsuccessful season, netting one goal and pocketing 12 assists. Hoffenheim nevertheless didn't feel it prudent to pull a reported €20 million purchase clause.

The player's estimated market worth, perhaps somewhat harshly, has plummeted from €30 million last autumn to €12 million in the latest transfermarkt update. A loan would be ideal for Angelino's parent club as Raum has not yet truly found his form since making the switch to Saxony. The broadcast source reports that negotiations have been quite positive and a deal might be announced soon.
