The Hamburg-native scored a total of 18 goals in 51 appearances for BVB II during his 18-month-loan-stint with BVB II in the 3. Liga. The former Holstein-Kiel academy man also made his senior team debut for Edin Terzic's senior team on matchday six of the just-completed campaign. Njinmah made a total of three matchday squads under Terzic.
"The loan to Borussia Dortmund's U23s in the third division did him good, and he took another clear step in the right direction there," Bremen licensing director Clemens Fritz noted in a statement accompanying the news "Justin continues to be a young player who brings a lot to the table, but his development is far from over. We are very excited to see how he will complement our forward line."
