RB Leipzig boss confirms Gvardiol wants to join Man City

Max Eberl has revealed that Josko Gvardiol wants to leave RB Leipzig to join Manchester City.
After selling Christopher Nkunku to Chelsea and Dominik Szoboszlai to Liverpool, it looks like RB Leipzig are about to ship another of their key players to the English Premier League.

In an interview with Leipziger Volkszeitung, RB Leipzig sporting director Max Eberl has confirmed that Josko Gvardiol is set to leave the club for Manchester City.

"Josko and his representatives have approached us with the wish to go to Manchester City," Eberl said.

He went on to confirm that negotiations are underway with Manchester City.

"We are in talks with Manchester. There is nothing more to say at the moment".

According to the Leipziger Volkszeitung, it would take an offer of €100 million plus bonuses to persuade Leipzig to sell the highly-rated center-back.

Manchester City's last offer for the 21-year-old was reportedly €90 million plus add-ons.
