Reports: Leipzig rebuffed once again in Openda pursuit

Both Germany's main sporting tabloid and Sky's German outfit are denying reports that RB Leipzig's latest offer for Belgian striker Loïs Openda has been accepted.

Despite a report appearing in the Leipziger Volkszeitung two days ago concerning the imminent transfer of striker Loïs Openda, two reputable German footballing media sources are now claiming that the Belgian's move to RB Leipzig is anything but a done deal. Sky Germany and the Bundresrepublik's "Sport Bild" tabloid both report that Ligue 1 side RC Lens now want upwards of €50 million plus bonuses for the 23-year-old.

The reports appearing in the German footballing media sources remain eminently believable when one considers how much money other clubs will wish to bilk Leipzig for after a summer of high profile departures. Sky is now already suggesting that the transfer may fall through in light of plays such as these. RB chief personnel executive Max Eberl may rapidly be running out of moves after seeing a fourth offer rejected.
