Stuttgart confirm Jeong signing

Woo-yeong Jeong has joined Stuttgart from Freiburg.
VfB Stuttgart have signed Wooyeong Jeong from Bundesliga rivals SC Freiburg. The 23-year-old attacker has put pen to paper on a deal until 2026 with 'Die Schwaben'.

Germany's Kicker Magazine reports on a base transfer fee of €2.8 million which can rise as high as €4 million with bonuses. Most other German footballing media sources corroborate these figures,.

"We're delighted that Wooyeong will be wearing our jersey in the future. His abilities will lend greater variety to our attacking play, while his ambitious nature and team-first attitude make him a great addition for us. And last but not least, despite his relatively young age he already has considerable Bundesliga experience," commented Stuttgart sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth.

Wooyeong Jeong said:

"VfB have a good team and I believe this transfer is the right step for me. I’ve already played in Stuttgart a few times so I know how good the atmosphere is in the stadium. That was one of the reasons why I wanted to come here and now I’m really pleased to be here and to play for VfB."
