Despite a flurry of transfer activity last week that saw them bring in Germans Robin Gosens and Kevin Volland, 1. FC Union Berlin are still willing to take on 36-year-old Italian central Leonardo Bonucci. Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reports that the 121-times-capped Italian international may wish to Köpenick if he desires.

Romano claims that the final decision rests with the player and his representatives. Though Romano doesn't offer specific details, it's possible that Union aren't offering the veteran the best salary prospects. Bonucci has the opportunity to move abroad for the first time in his career. As was the case with the ultimately collapsed Isco transfer last January, however, die Eisernen won't be offering a lucrative deal.
