Roma set to beat Milan to Azmoun signature, reports claim
AS Roma have beaten AC Milan to the signature of Bayer Leverkusen's Sardar Azmoun, according to Italian reports.
For a long time, it looked like Bayer Leverkusen striker Sardar Azmoun was on his way to AC Milan.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano and Gianluca Di Marzio, AS Roma have hijacked Milan's move for the Iranian striker.
Azmoun is now expected to complete his move to the Italian club in the next few days. According to Kicker, he will leave on loan and not on a permanent basis.
The 28-year-old joined Leverkusen from Zenit St. Petersburg in January 2022 for a reported fee of €2.5 million.
He has scored just five goals in 44 appearances for Die Werkself.
