The midfielder picked up an injury in Dortmund's 2-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League and will miss the game as a result.
"Marcel Sabitzer has an adductor injury, he will be out. It won't be a long layoff, but it will be tight for the next few games," Terzic said at his pre-match press conference, where he also confirmed that Thomas Meunier and Mateu Morey will remain out.
With Sabitzer ruled out, Felix Nmecha could potentially make his second start for the club since joining from Wolfsburg in the summer, with Marco Reus also an option to replace the Austrian international.
"We are totally convinced of Felix's qualities," Terzic said of Nmecha.
"He didn't have an easy pre-season, but he showed what he can do in the friendly against Ajax. It's a matter of integrating him into our game. We also know what he can do in training."
