It would be a 'good decision' for James Rodriguez to join Juventus, says his father

James Rodriguez's father reveals his son has 'many offers' and says a move to Juventus would be a 'good decision' for the Bayern München star.
James Rodriguez is not happy at the moment and could leave Bayern München in the summer if his situation doesn't improve, his father tells Sport Bild.

"I experience him as being very quiet, monosyllabic and not so happy," Wilson Rodriguez said.

James Rodriguez is on loan at Bayern from Real Madrid until the end of the season. The Bavarians have a €42 million purchase option on him, but have been hesitant to take advantage of it as Rodriguez hasn't thrived at the club since Niko Kovac took over as head coach last summer.

The 27-year-old has been linked with several other clubs - including Juventus. And according to Wilson Rodriguez, who claims his son 'has many offers', a move to the Serie A champions would make sense.

"With the way I see Italian football at the moment, it would be a good decision," he said.

The Colombian international played an important role under former Bayern München coaches Carlo Ancelotti and Jupp Heynckes last season, but has slipped down the pecking order at Allianz Arena since Niko Kovac took over in the summer. And Wilson Rodriguez doesn't hide that he preferred Ancelotti and Heynckes to Kovac.

"They (Ancelotti and Heynckes) put him where he belongs. A top player has to play! You have to use your strengths. I'm sad every time he's on the bench again. And so is all of Colombia," he said.

James Rodriguez has started just eight games in all competitions for Bayern this season.
