Nagelsmann reportedly disappointed by Adeyemi's U21 withdrawal

Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann is apparently not happy with Karim Adeyemi's decision to turn down an invitation to represent the U21 national team.
Karim Adeyemi's decision to withdraw from the German U21 national team has not gone down well with the German Football Association and Julian Nagelsmann, according to Bild.

Adeyemi turned down an invitation to play for the U21 team, preferring instead to work his way back into Dortmund's starting lineup.

"I have spoken with Karim and the club. He currently wants to stay with BVB to achieve his goals," Germany U21 coach Antonio Di Salvo said on Monday.

According to Bild, Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann is particularly unhappy with Adeyemi's decision, as he expects players to see it as an honor to be nominated by the DFB, whether for the senior team or the U21.

Bild speculates that Adeyemi's behavior could cost him a spot in next year's Euro squad, although the 21-year-old still has plenty of time to make amends.
