RB Leipzig reportedly ahead of Bayern in Ouédraogo race
Bild reports that RB Leipzig are currently leading Bayern Munich in the race to sign Schalke 04's Assan Ouédraogo.
Bild's 'Bayern Insider' podcast claims that Leipzig have moved ahead of Bayern Munich in the chase for the young midfielder.
Leipzig have been monitoring Ouédraogo for a year and the player's father was spotted in the stands with the club's sporting director, Rouven Schröder, in early October.
Since then, the Bavarians have reportedly stepped up their pursuit of the 17-year-old, but he prefers Leipzig at the moment because he fears a move to the Allianz Arena would be too big a step and could damage his career.
According to Sky Germany, AC Milan and Eintracht Frankfurt are also interested.
Reports claim that Ouédraogo can be signed for as little as €7 million this summer due to a release clause in his contract with Schalke 04.
