Jordan likely sidelined for the rest of 2023
Borussia Mönchengladbach confirmed on Thursday that the latest injury suffered by American striker Jordan is a muscle fiber tear that will keep the attacker out for weeks.

The nature of the injury looks likely to sideline the attacker for the duration of the calendar year. BMG trainer Gerardo Seoane has repeatedly stated how valuable to the team he considers Jordan in recent weeks. The Union Berlin loanee - thanks in part to a series of injury problems involving his fellow striker Tomas Cvancara - has been given a surprising amount of playing time.
Jordan has netted four goals and registered two assists in 12 appearances across all competitions. Seoane can still hope to call upon Cvancara to produce goals, provided the Czech international remains healthy. Despite his injury problems, the 23-year-old has racked up six tallies and contributed two assists in his 13 league and cup appearances.
In general, goalscoring has been rather evenly spread across Gladbach's roster. Versatile attacker Alassane Plea has five. Resurgent German national team midfielder Florian Neuhaus has three while his younger Germany U21 colleague Rocco Reitz netted two in the past two matches. The foals have scored a total of 25 goals through 12 Bundesliga match days.
