In the sixth and final group stage match, Manchester United and Bayern Munich will lock horns at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.

Already through to the last 16, Bayern will be determined to show a reaction to Saturday's embarrassing 5-1 defeat at the hands of Eintracht Frankfurt.

"We are looking ahead and now we have the chance to rebuild our self-confidence," said Bayern attacker Jamal Musiala at the pre-match press conference.

"We had a very good week of training before Frankfurt, so it was surprising. We have to be more confident. We can learn a lot from that and we know that we have to stay focused. Now the focus is on United. We have to be 100% there tomorrow."

Musiala could be one of the changes made by Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel, with the youngster pushing to make his first start since returning from a hamstring injury.

However, sitting alongside the 20-year-old, Tuchel wouldn't guarantee him a starting spot on Tuesday, with Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Thomas Müller being the alternatives.

"Jamal can't play 90 minutes yet. Either he starts and is substituted or he comes off the bench. I haven't decided that yet," Tuchel said.

Like Bayern, Man United are coming off a heavy defeat - a 3-0 loss to Bournemouth. The Red Devils have endured a difficult season in general, sitting sixth in the Premier League and bottom of the Champions League's Group A.

"I feel for all my colleagues. Sometimes it is difficult and challenging. I know what it's like to manage big clubs. Sometimes you feel that a club is not developing as fast as you would like. We have to show a lot of energy tomorrow to survive here. I'm convinced that United want to and will fight back," said Tuchel of his upcoming opponents.

On the injury front, Manchester United will definitely be missing Martinez, Casemiro, Eriksen, Malacia and Mount, while Rashford, Martial and Lindelöf are doubtful.

Tuchel and Bayern will have to do without Sarr, Gnabry and de Ligt.
