Union Berlin picked up three important points at the bottom of the Bundesliga table with a 2-0 win over FC Köln on Wednesday evening.

Benedict Hollerbach broke the deadlock for the home side in the 55th minute, cutting inside and unleashing a left-footed shot into the top corner.

Second-half substitute David Datro Fofana then sealed the victory in the 78th minute when he coolly smashed the ball past Marvin Schwäbe following a pass from Kevin Volland.

The win moves Union up to 15th in the table, three points ahead of Mainz, FC Köln and Darmstadt with a game in hand.
