Borussia Dortmund have officially brought back Jadon Sancho on loan from Manchester United.

Sancho, who left Dortmund to join Manchester United in 2021, is back at Signal Iduna Park on a six-month loan deal.

The 23-year-old has been limited to just three appearances for Manchester United this season, having been suspended from all first-team activities since September for disciplinary reasons.

"Jadon is a real difference-maker and I'm looking forward to seeing him back in black and yellow soon. He knows this city, Signal Iduna Park, our fans and our club," said Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl.

"Even though he hasn't played a competitive match in the last few months, we are sure that he will quickly settle in, get into top form and use his qualities to help us achieve our goals for the season."

Sancho himself said:

"When I walked into the dressing room today, it was like coming home. I know the club inside out, I've always been very close to the fans here and I've never lost contact with the people in charge.

"I can't wait to see my teammates again, get out on the pitch, play football with a smile on my face, set up goals, score goals and help us qualify for the Champions League."

Sancho scored 50 goals and provided 64 assists in 137 matches for Dortmund before leaving in 2021.
