Sky Report: Foot injury to sideline Selke for over a month

Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg reports that Köln striker Davie Selke's foot injury will sideline the Geißböcke's leading goal-scorer for four to six weeks.
Official confirmation from the club is still lacking, but German footballing journalist Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany reports that the results of 1. FC Köln attacker Davie Selke's MRI have returned an unfortunate diagnosis. Plettenberg claims that a potential foot fracture will sideline the team's leading goal-scorer for four to six weeks. The 28-year-old underwent the procedure on Sunday.

Köln have already confirmed that Luca Waldschmidt will be out long-term with a fractured fibula. Together, Selke (five goals) and Waldchmidt (two goals) account for seven of the eleven goals the Domstädter have scored in the league. Plettenberg's Sky colleague Patrick Berger reported yesterday that - in the event of relegation - Selke will be released from his Kölner contract.
