Nottingham Forest have reportedly joined the race to sign Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus.

According to Sky Germany, the Premier League side have inquired about the 26-year-old, joining Sevilla and Lazio in the race for his signature.

However, Gladbach sporting director Nils Schmadtke insisted after Sunday's 2-1 defeat to Augsburg that he has no plans to let Neuhaus leave at the moment.

"No, Flo is part of this team," he said.

"After coming on as a substitute, he showed exactly what we expect from him: energy. He gave the team something, won balls, that was a good reaction from him."

However, according to Sky, that could change if Gladbach manage to bring in a replacement, with a January move for the midfielder still looking likely.
