Bremen's Rapp completes KSC switch
SV Werder Bremen defensive midfielder Nicolai Rapp was officially unveiled as a new signing by Baden-Württemberg's Karlsruher SC on Tuesday morning.

"I realized very quickly that I wanted to move here," Rapp noted in a club statement, "KSC is a very likable and ambitious club, so I'm all the more pleased to be here today. I've already watched a number of KSC matches in the first half of the season. The lads play really good football! I want to play my full part here and hope I can help the team."
"With Nicolai, we're gaining a centre midfielder with strong tackling skills who will help us gain more defensive stability and flexibility," KSC personnel executive Sebastian Freis added, "With his skills, he can be deployed in the positions of the solo six, double six or in central defeserhe can and should grow into a leadership role with his experience and personality."
Rapp has 145 2. Bundesliga appearances to his credit for his various clubs. The former German youth international managed just nine top-flight appearances in his career. Karlsruhe did not provide any details on the length of the Heidelberg native's new contract.
