Sky Report: Mainz outpace Augsburg in pursuit of Frankfurt's Ngankam

Sky Germany is currently reporting that FSV Mainz 05 are about to sign Eintracht Frankfurt striker Jessic Ngankam on loan.
The latest from Sky Germany reports that the hitherto "unnamed" Bundesliga interested in acquiring Eintracht Frankfurt striker Jessic Ngankam on loan is 17th-placed Bundesliga side FSV Mainz 05. Moreover, the Rheinhessen have outpaced the Fuggerstädter in the race to sign the 23-year-old. Sky reports that Ngankam is already in the Pfälzer capital and has passed his medical.

It remains to be seen whether or not Ngankam will be unveiled tonight. Mainz may wish to unveil the Germany U21 international together alongside their other anticipated signing, Leverkusen midfielder Nadiem Amiri. Germany's preeminent footballing publication reports that Amiri will cost the Nullfünfter as little as €1 million. Sky claims that Ngankam's loan will come without a fee or purchase option.
