Stuttgart officially confirm Zagadou is done for the year
VfB Stuttgart officially confirmed Dan-Axel Zagadou's loss for the entire season late Thursday morning.
After rumors began circulating last night, Dan-Axel Zagadou's German club team made the unfortunate news official late Thursday morning. Central defender Dan-Axel Zagadou will miss the rest of the 2023/24 campaign with an ACL tear in his knee. The 24-year-old incurred the latest in a long line of injuries that have proven devastating to his overall career yesterday.
Despite the fact that the news came on transfer deadline day, it doesn't appear as if Stuttgart will seek to procure an immediate replacement on the market. The Swabians posted a picture of the entire squad holding Zagadou's jersey on the club's training ground to its social media feed when confirming the news. Best wishes for a "quick recovery" were conveyed.
